Our Solutions

Power, biofuels, storage.

Sun, soil and flow — one platform, multiple energy systems.

01 — Power

Grid-tied and off-grid generation.

Sun, soil and flow — one platform, multiple energy systems.

Solar

92 MW of grid-tied solar in operation. We continue developing solar for utilities and industrial users in SADC under stable off-take arrangements.

Biomass

We are developing 300 MW Bagasse biomass power projects integrated with our biofuel developments — generating excess power and supporting circular and sustainable economies.

Gas

Western Cape gas power development designed to offtake from South Africa's offshore gas fields, integrating with PetroSA's pipeline in Mossel Bay.

02 — Biofuels

Developing an African integrated biofuel platform.

From irrigated feedstock to fuel-grade ethanol — Greenleaf seeks to develop Africa's most substantial integrated biofuel platform.

Fuel-grade ethanol jerry can

Ethanol → E20

Fuel-grade ethanol from sugarcane, blended into petrol as E20. A 20% ethanol mix that reduces import dependency, cuts emissions, and works in any existing vehicle without modification.

Policy document with shield — mandated by national law

Policy-aligned

We only develop where ethanol blending is mandated by national law — ensuring our projects are underwritten by government policy support from day one.

03 — Energy Storage

Utility-scale BESS.

We developing utility-scale storage to improve grid stability, optimise energy costs, and support renewable integration.

Peak Shaving

In partnership with a major South African municipal utility, we're developing a battery energy storage facility designed to reduce electricity procurement costs through peak shaving and tariff optimisation. The system charges during low-tariff periods using renewable energy, and discharges during peak demand — cutting peak costs and improving grid efficiency.
